CHGPA Membership Information

CHGPA memberships run from January 1st through December 31st and cost $40 per year. Membership fees for new pilots joining the club late in the year (eg, after October 1st) are often applied to the next year of membership, so that October through December are basically free. But please note that this can vary, depending on the details of the membership renewal system and current club policy.

Club dues are applied toward CHGPA's annual operating expenses, including: site insurance at High Rock, The Pulpit, Fisher Road, and Bill's Hill; the CHGPA website; production of Skyline; training-hill and site maintenance; land-owner gifts; and promotional events such as the annual Smithsonian Kite Festival on the National Mall and Become-A-Pilot-Day at the Udvar-Hazy aviation museum near Dulles airport.

Through your dues, you support and promote the sports of hang gliding and paragliding at the local level. We hope you agree that it is money very well-spent!

To Join and/or Update Your Roster Info

The CHGPA treasurer (treasurer@chgpa.org) handles club membership, and updates the club roster with any changes to your contact information. While the CHGPA does provide roster data to USHPA in order to maintain its chapter status, member information is not provided to any other outside person or organization. Ever!

To join CHGPA, simply complete the Club Membership Form, print it out, and then send it with your check to the treasurer:
